The AFL-CIO announced that as of August 6, 2012, it has endorsed the United Steelworkers’ boycott of Palermo’s pizza. This boycott covers Palermo’s brand pizza, “Classics” brand pizza, and private label brand frozen pizza produced by palermo’s including Costco’s Kirkland brand.
Palermo’s workers have been engaged in an unfair labor practice strike since June 1, 2012. Palermo’s Pizza management has terminated over 75 workers as they were trying to form a union.
